Go "Faux It"

This morning I woke up and had to put my plush robe on over my pajamas. The crisp air has definitely arrived! In a way I'm sort of excited for the chilly weather. It took me back to the Michael Kors F/W 2010 collection with all the faux fur strutting down the runway. And the minute I saw Carmen Kass in his Fall 2010 ad campaign modeling this look I could not wait to try and recreate my favorite outfit from the ad (seen above). All my friends know I love rocking faux fur, now it is trendy!

I think I'm so in love with the way Kors did the fur look because he took my other favorite fall trend (Minimalism in a camel hue) and added the fur to add a touch of glamour. It's no doubt this trend is big this season and wearing it without overdoing it can make a big statement. Faux fur is seen in almost every store whether it be an accent on a pair of boots, the trim on a jacket, a vest or a faux fur bag. So even going for one key piece this season adorned with faux fur can make you feel extravagant and it is animal friendly.

And if you love the edgy look, you too can add a touch of fur without feeling to glamorous or over the top, by adding a faux fur vest over your leather jacket. I will be trying these looks this season, will you? However you rock this trend, make it your own!
