M.A.C. Venomous Villains!!!

It's here!! I just got the email newsletter about it. I loved Disney movies growing up (I still do hehe) and now I can wear colors inspired by the famous villains on my face and lips courtesy of M.A.C. . But I'm mainly dying over the lip colors. As we know Rae is a lipstick gal, but I'm definitely a lipgloss gal! I'm having a hard time choosing between "Cruella" Wicked Ways lipglass and "Evil Queen" Hot House or Strange Potion lipglass, but I'm leaning towards Strange Potion. Get yours fast because most of them are already sold out online! (pics from maccosmetics.com)

My Fenton D.I.Y. Necklace from Dana Lorenz

Back in August, I just randomly entered a giveaway by Refinery29 called DIY Fenton Necklace in 4 steps. I'm on the site everyday, so I saw the post while browsing and entered because I'm obsessed with jewelry! You basically had to post a pic of your fave Fenton piece on the R29 facebook page. Then the R29 editors would choose their fave. So I went to Dana Lorenz site, the jewelry designer behind Fenton, and I had the hardest time choosing hahaha... I loved every piece! I finally chose and posted, then on August 16, I was announced as the giveaway winner. Yesterday, I got my D.I.Y. pieces and I can't wait to start. The "After" post will be coming soon..I'm still brainstorming on how I want to put it together. :)

This is the piece I chose as my favorite from the site :)
This is my D.I.Y. necklace that came in the mail!
My note from Dana :)

Shirley

"Presenting Tallulah"

Tori Spelling and her side kick Mehran Farhat are at it again, taking over manhattan with appearances and the signing for "Presenting Tallulah" at Borders bookstore on September 22nd 2010. The fourth book for the New York Times Bestselling author Tori Spelling. What a way to celebrate a day before our birthday September 23rd. And if your questioning OF COURSE WE WENT, racing to get there on time after work. This story is too adorable, about a vibrant little girl who wants to find out who she really is and in the end is finally able to do just that with the help of some special friends. Even though it is a quick read, it's just enough for kids to enjoy and have fun with. Can't wait to see what is next for this dynamic duo.

Jeremy Laing S/S 2011

Last week, on September 16th, (the last day of NY Fashion Week) a co -worker of mine was nice enough to give me her ticket to the Jeremy Laing show. It was held at the Milk Studios. There was an overwhelming amount of looks coming down the runway...but it was great. I tried to capture as much as I could. There were edgy, unique looking knits, pops of color and a lot of neutrals. Overall, a successful show.

my look for the day..(i know i look exhausted haha)

Peace,

Jill Stuart Spring 2011 Outside The Tents

Once again Fashion Week rolled around but this season was very different. As we all might know by now it has moved from Byrant Park to Lincoln Center. I guess there were too many trees and not too much structure :) j/k. For my girls and I that meant new strategies and routines. We knew the entrances and exits of Byrant Park like the back of our hands. Whether we were at school or work Byrant Park was just the right distance away for us to catch a glimpse of the action. Thank God for the luxury of coming and going while in College. I remember us speeding back and forth during classes to bryant park to capture the madness of fashion around us. Hot, cold, rain or snow we were at the tents. At times when I look back at those memories I wonder how we made it during the cold weather because it was brutal to the point where we couldn't feel our fingers and toes under the many layers we were wearing. "DEFINITELY AN EXPERIENCE" Oh and did I mention that we were outside the tents, though we wanted to be inside soo bad, being outside was good enough...we appreciated every minute of it even though we did get on the bad side of many paparazzi"s. "GOOD TIMES" When the three of us are together, there is no stopping us. Many fun memories at Bryant Park, I guess Lincoln Center will have to bring us new ones starting with Saturday 9/11/10 when we went to catch the action outside of Jill Stuart (which was held at the David Koch Theatre)...and it was just like old times. Here are some of our shots.
