"Where in the Concrete Jungle Will Trois Femmes Pop Up?"- Doughnut Plant

After seeing, the DOUGHNUT PLANT featured on Travel Channel's "Donut Paradise", I knew I would have to make the trek down to the Lower East Side in NYC and see what all the fuss was about. After entering the tiny shop & taking a whiff of the air, I took a bite into the Coconut Cream doughnut...the rest was history.

Told my girls, Sherr & Shirl about the doughnut perfection and we made many, many, many more trips to the Doughnut Plant. Mark Isreal perfected the doughnut! He uses the freshest ingredients, organic when possible, no eggs, artificial ingredients or preservatives and no artificial coloring. The roster of doughnuts is endless with such flavors like Vanilla Bean (classic!), Tres Leche, Valhrona Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Blackout, Carrot Cake, etc. They also feature churros (my bro's fav), cinnamon buns and Butterfly Roll, along with Hot chocolate in the cold months/ Iced Chai Tea in the summer.

Mark also deliver's orders daily to Dean & DeLuca, Balducci's, and Zabar's, if you can't make it to the Doughnut Plant.

After 16 years, Mark opened up a 2nd NYC location at The Chelsea Hotel on Valentine's Day 2011. Here they have seating and feature different doughnut flavors- Chocolate Chip Cookie, Oatmeal, Salted Peanut Cake and more.
