NYFW-FALL WINTER 2011

New york fashion week again, has come and gone in a blink of an eye. This is the second season that it has been held at Lincoln Center and even though we love the atmosphere there, we just can't seem to get the hang of it when fashion week rolls around... :( we miss Bryant Park. We knew that park like the back of our hands...the arrivals, departures, locations everything. So you know our pictures were always on point. Its just not the same at Lincoln Center. It's so hard to run from one location to the other lol. Sooner or later we will have it down.

But even though our pictures were not up to our standards, there was a big HIGHLIGHT MOMENT that was just incredible. Thanks to Saks and Rebecca Minkoff's giveaway via Twitter Rachel was able to win 2 tickets to the show which was held Friday February 11th 2011 at Lincoln Center. We didn't care where we sat it was just an honor to be there. Poor Rachel had a tough decision to make because she had to choose between the two of us but I think she made the right choice lol. Shirley on the other hand scored a ticket to DOO.RI which was held on the same day at the Eyebeam on W21 street. So we all had a fun filled experience.

REBECCA MINKOFF:
Rebecca Minkoff Fall/ Winter 2011 collection represents a sexy, sophisticated, modern women who is practical but free spirited. Her muse/inspiration for this fall collection was model Charlotte Kemp Muhl. She is definitely known for her street style and also for her relationship with Sean Lennon. The pair actually provided live music for the runway show which gave the show a nice touch. It was really beautiful and fit just right. The mood of the collection flowed from edgy to feminine quite easily. This collection is definitely ready -to- wear because I definitely see my self and my girls rocking each piece right off the runway. Here are a few of our favorite looks:

DOO.RI:
For Fall, Chung was still within her comfort zone— draping was the big story but, in a nice change of pace, she was operating with a little more abandon. Her collections are craft-focused exercises in turning luxurious fabrics into understated, accessible clothes. Here are some of shirl's favorite looks from the show she also shot a video of the finale which came out great:
