Chadwick Bell S/S 2011

On September 8th, my lovely co-worker Oscar Reyes invited me once again to join him at the Chadwick Bell show. This was their 5th season and it was the 3rd one Oscar and I attended together. :) This season the show was at Cedar Lake; a big warehouse with exposed brick everywhere and large windows. The theme this season was Camouflage; warm colors, comfortable fits, loose but flirty and feminine. All in all, a great show. Finale piece...LOVED IT.

HEARTS FOR HAITI!!

Great turn out on September 7th 2010 to help support the children of Haiti at the Opera Gallery with art by Mr. Brainwash. Lakay Pam was the organization, founded by Cedrick Roche and his wife Carolina Bittencourt, that threw this event with help of top model Coco Rocha and Elite Model Management booker Gabriel Ruas. They gathered their friends and Elite models such as Alessandra Ambrosio, Damaris Lewis, Ana Beatriz, Michelle Alves and many more to help bring awareness. There was an auction, t-shirts designed by Robert Geller and bracelets designed by Aurelie Bidermann being sold. There were even Capoeira performers present, which was really cool to watch. Back in February, the Lakay Pam event was a huge success and raised over $60,000. I hope this one was even better; by the looks of it I'm pretty sure it was. Fashion Night Out:The Show

Fashion week officially starts September 9 2010 but NY needed to give Lincoln Center a proper introduction to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week since it will no longer be held at Bryant Park :(. On September 7 2010 over 170 looks came down the runway outside Lincoln Center marking the largest public runway show in NYC history. Definitely a night to remember. Several fall trends of the season such as Fifties Flair, Tartan Twist, Pure at Heart, Weekend Wrap Up, Rock Chic, Go Global and Jazz Age Cool made there way down the runway. Each look was said to have been given the final okay by Anna Wintour the editor in chief of Vogue who also oversaw the entire show. Pharrell serenaded the audience as the show went on. What a great night and way to start off fashion week. I wish I was elite enough to be invited to an event like so. "SOMEDAY" :)

The "Mac Clutch"- Rebecca Minkoff

What a breath of fresh air!! I'm what you call the big bag lady so this clutch is perfect, it's not too small like some clutches tend to be and it will fill my big bag lady things. I love how it's versatile...literally day and night with adjustable straps. Can we speak about the color :) despite the fact that I am bias to my favorite color BLUE, this is just the right shade (electric blue/ antique silver hardware). I see another birthday present that's about to make it onto my list. This one, I will make fit into my budget :)...it's ok to splurge once in a while especially when it's your birthday. Stay tuned to see if the "MAC CLUTCH" makes its way into my collection. *sherry*

Jersey Bound-KTU Style

As we told you, we're a bit behind in posts due to our successful efforts in the COACH Poppy Project. As of today, we are catching up on our posts from the ending of Summer->

August 7th, 2010 we were Jersey Bound, not to the Jersey Shore to see Snooki and crew but to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ. This was home to radio station's, "KTU"S Beatstock '10'' concert. Once I heard my favorite Lady was going to perform, I knew we had to go. Kelly Rowland was featured on the lineup as well as-Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Kat Deluna, Taio Cruz, Lisa Lisa, Naughty by Nature, and many more.

The show was supposed to start about 3pm but little did we know, the gates would not open till 6ish. After melting in the hot sun for hours, perching in small shady patches and unsuccessfully trying to win a M&G w/ Kelly Rowland we were in our shaded seats! We were all exhausted from being in the 90 degree sun all afternoon but once Kelly Rowland hit the stage I was given life. She weeerked the whole stage and kept us on our feet! This was the first time I saw her perform songs from her new era, "Commander", "Rose Colored Glasses" and when "Love Takes Over''. You can definitely see this is a whole new Kelly and I can't wait to see what else she has to give us!
